The Hailea OTP powered pumps has an improved venturi design and pinwheel impeller. Based on numbers from zero back pressure on output plumbing, the maximum flow rate for the reef octopus protein skimmer is 400gph. It is strongly recommended that while using the the DNWB-150, you use a ball valve inline from your feed pump directly to the skimmer which will allow you more control over waterflow.
